Eighties rock brought back to life for those who left it for dead.
This music blends 80's hair metal without the bubble-gum,
with some country slangs and a modern punch.

The brain inside the Skull

Jymi Blatz’s roots in music began as a fan first. A proud member of the KISS Army and a faithful follower in the church of Ozzy Osbourne.
That early obsession with rock, performance, and attitude laid the foundation long before he ever stepped onstage.

Jymi started his musical career behind the kit as a drummer in Kingston, Ontario, performing with bands including Indecent Exposure, Sweet Shock, Pretty Evil and Faithfull. When vocalists became hard to find, he stepped out from behind the drums and took over front-man duties, carrying the microphone for Kingston bands such as Toyboyz and Skeleton Cinema.

The next chapter took him into the Toronto music scene, where he continued to balance drums and vocals. Jymi played drums in later incarnations of Kid Wicked and Mist, while also handling lead vocals for Beautiful Creatures.

Eventually, Jymi relocated to Los Angeles and immersed himself in the legendary Sunset Strip scene. There, he performed with bands including Trash Cynema and worked extensively as both a stage and drum tech, supporting a wide range of acts such as Ana Black, Crimeny Jean, Wicked Jester, Kelly’s Heros, and more.

Throughout all of this, a lesser-known but constant skill was developing... songwriting. After picking up guitar and piano, Jymi began writing lyrics steadily over the years. Some songs were recorded, others stayed on paper, and many twisted arrangements lived only in his head.

Today, with renewed focus and modern technology and a home studio at his fingertips, Jymi Blatz has returned fully to songwriting and recording. His current work reflects decades of experience as a drummer, vocalist, performer, and observer of the rock scene.

These are song-driven releases built for replay; hook-heavy, performance-ready, and lyric-focused.

Listen closely to the words, the imagery, and the stories they paint. These songs are made to be sung along to, finger-tapped through, and air-drummed on repeat.

Not only are these songs for listening, they are for SYNC and For Sale to other artists.
